Roxy Paine's newly installed
100 Foot Line at the National Gallery.
Technically my commute was over as I'd already parked my bike, had my shower and was on my way in search of my morning coffee. But the moon was in the right place and the morning sun was reflecting off the stainless steel skin of the sculpture. You have to zoom in to see it properly, though. I rather like it. :)

Gorgeous! Can't wait to see it next time I'm home for a visit.
I like it too, at least in the photos, as I haven't seen it in real life yet. Very clever of you to get the moon on top like that.
The pic really doesn't do it justice, ladies. With a midday sun and a bright blue sky, it's dazzling. You need to don shades to look at it!
A very nice shot, Peter. I'm in no hurry to compete with you on this waste of taxpayer's money. It's the Voice of Fire all over again.
Hi Jean - some here (@NGC) are calling it Harry Potter's wand. I think it looks more like Ron Weasley's first one that he had to tape up. :) On the other hand, if it's got people talking, then it's doing its job as a work of art.
