A great idea. For Vancouver weather, maybe.

"“We come in with our helmets on, wearing tight Lycra pants, and with cleats that sound like high heels, and we’re all sweaty and gross,” he said. As a result, some coffee shop owners view cyclists “like these weird alien space creatures.”"

There's something to be said for being a little relaxed and being in the moment, rather than just being about the bike.

People in Spandex and clipless shoes look "fast" and not too relaxed. And they often arrive as a herd, full of energy and sort of take over the coffee shop. If they show some respect for those who were there beforehand, no problem. On the other hand, being in the moment works both ways.
