This photo looks like a painting that I would say looks like a photograph, you know what I mean??. Julia's hands and the tulips have a surreal feeling.
Cool colours recede and warm ones advance, so the tulips and hands appear to float above the background, giving it a 3D look. It was what Newman was demonstrating in Voice of Fire.
