JuliaR - I was wondering that, too. I would think ice is harder than the plastic they're made of. You'd need big honkin' zip ties to get a grip and even then, I'm not sure how long they'd last.
Bambam - Oh man! I never thought of that. NOW THAT would be a Royal PITA! I think you'd only use this zip tied bike for recreation and not count on it to get you to work or anywhere meaningful ... unless you were independently wealthy or didn't give a shite. :)
There are only 32 ties per wheel, Bambam, so... it's not 100! And if I got a flat in a snow storm, I'd be walking the bike home and not fixing it, ties or no ties. Who wants to fix a flat in a snow storm?

I'd hate to get a flat in the middle of a snowstorm and have to clip off a hundred zip ties!
