The front dog is in the head-down-pulling attitude that Uma always took, walking across a lock gate. There must be something odd about seeing down on both sides, perhaps, that makes dogs do that.
It's pretty wide up there (for wide folk with bikes) so they prolly couldn't see down both sides, and the water's up to the top of the door on one side, so ...
I took four shots of the dogs but couldn't get them to pose properly at all. This showed the most heads but it was half in the shadows and half in bright sunlight. Real PITA.
