What a great shot of them all relaxing and yet no one is even looking at the others! They each ended up there on purpose but it wasn't planned that they end up together. I actually sense a little awkwardness here!
I'm not sure what they're waiting for. The lock is empty and there were no boats below them in the river where they seem to be looking. They were just hanging out and feeling guilty, maybe.
